Health & Safety (COVID-19) Resources & Campus Guidelines

Updated March 22, 2023

The university continues to support and strongly encourage campus community members to wear face coverings when they feel the need to do so. Let’s continue to honor our shared commitment to equity and inclusion and support those who cannot get vaccinated, or who need to keep themselves or loved ones safe by limiting their exposure and risk. We must all do our part to respect and value the health and safety of everyone within our community.

Particle air purifiers with MERV-13 or better air filtration capabilities have been distributed around campus.

All members of the PAU community will continue to be required to report immediately to the Human Resources department, hr@paloaltou.edu, if they have tested positive for COVID-19 and have been on campus or a PAU hosted event within 2 days prior to or after taking the test.

PAU's approach to health and safety measures include:

In the event we experience a significant resurgence of COVID-19 infections, we may choose to implement any or all of the following health and safety measures:

  • Require face coverings in all classes, labs and libraries.

  • Require face coverings on campus at all times.

While we hope that we are not put in a position to have to reinstate these more stringent measures, we are prepared to do what it takes to create a safer and healthier environment for our campus community over the coming months.

We will continue to provide updates through our COVID-19 website.
