Undergraduate Scholarship and Fellowship Opportunities

Below is a list of scholarships and fellowships that are available for the 2015-2016 academic year.

How to apply for a scholarship or fellowship:

  • Fill out an application to your selected program.
  • Select the "Scholarship/Fellowship" drop-down menu. 
  • Note: there is one application form, and PAU’s selection committee will identify scholarships and fellowships that students are eligible for, based on the information in your application.

Early Consideration Deadline for Applications due: December 2, 2015

General Deadline for Applications: January 2, 2016

Note: Based on available funds, additional fellowships may be available after the due date.  Late applications are encouraged.

Allen Calvin Undergraduate Scholarship

Award Amount: $500

Selection Criteria: This scholarship is awarded based on three foremost personal qualities of Dr. Allen Calvin, PAU’s president: striving to reduce suffering in the world, an entrepreneurial and creative approach to problem solving, and a spirit of collaboration that unites people toward a common goal.

Yeh Scholars of the Calvin Society Scholarship

Award Amount: $10,000

This scholarship is designed to empower our undergraduate students to think big, and reach their full potential to make a positive and lasting difference in the world.  The Yehs are committed to mentoring the scholarship recipients to help them be successful.

The purpose of the Yeh Scholars of the Calvin Society is to support one senior student in the undergraduate program toward their goals, and to ultimately create legacy of Yeh scholars who support each other and give back to their communities.

Selection Criteria:

  • The student must be a junior at the time of application, enrolled in one of the PAU Bachelor degree programs.
  • The student must embody the character of a future leader who is committed to serving humanity by bettering the quality of life for all.
  • The student will have some or all of the following characteristics: Integrity, Humility, Strategic Thinking and Planning, Focus, Cooperation, Courage and Leadership.

Scholarships For Both Undergraduate and Graduate Students

ABD Veteran Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 (to one undergraduate and one graduate student)

The A.B.D. Scholarship supports students who have served in the Armed Services or dependents of veterans who have decided to embark upon the journey of higher education.

The purpose of the A.B.D. Scholarship is to award a veteran or dependent of a veteran who has a strong desire to give back to the veteran community to either work personally with veterans or create a non-profit meeting the needs of veterans.

Selection Criteria:

  • Applicant is a current student at PAU.
  • Applicant is nearing the end of their first, or subsequent year at PAU.

PAU Staff Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000 (to one undergraduate and one graduate student)

The PAU Staff Scholarship Fund was established to show staff support of our undergraduate and graduate students. PAU is very proud of our students, and our staff cares about keeping a quality education as affordable as possible.

Criteria:

  • Applicant is a current student at PAU.
  • Applicant is nearing the end of their first, or subsequent year at PAU.
  • Applicant has a GPA of 2.75 or higher, and submits a well-written personal statement.
  • Applicant plans to give back to the community through their work after graduating from PAU.

In order to be eligible to receive this scholarship, all tuition and fees must be paid for either by the student, or through arrangements made with the Financial Aid Office.
