ReVisioning Medicine, a two-and-a-half-day training featuring Deena Metzger, will take place in Palo Alto October 26 to 28.

The training focuses on restoring 'non-harmful' healing practices to more traditional medicine. Integrating the ‘old medicine of story’ (which creatively addresses life threatening diseases, spiritual and emotional crises, as well as community, political and environmental disintegration) is a key element of the training. Metzger also addresses how respect for the communities of all beings can bring back alignment and health and how making alliances between medical practitioners, patients, healers, family and community members can have major implications in diagnosis and treatment. Co-leaders are Co-led by Kjersten Gmeiner, M.D., Naz Motayar, Ph.D., Karen Mutter, D.O., Cheryl Potts, Alutiiq Elder & Teacher and Sharon Simone, Ph.D.

ReVisioning Medicine takes place on Friday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 9pm; Saturday, Oct. 27, from 9:30am to 9:00pm; and on Sunday, Oct. 28, from 9:30am to 7:00pm. Tuition is $595; $295 for students.
