UPDATE: Dr. Klein's interview can now be watched on YouTube.
Palo Alto University Chief Financial Officer Dr. June Klein will be honored by Mission College at its fourth annual Women in Leadership Conference: Changing the World on Friday, March 6. The virtual event takes place at 1 p.m. via a 30-minute broadcast on Mission College's YouTube and Facebook Live channels at 1 p.m.
As part of Women’s History Month, the event honors three dynamic women including Dr. Klein, California Highway Patrol Commissioner Amanda Ray, and Women's Rights without Frontiers Founder Reggie Littlejohn.
Dr. Klein has been the CFO at Palo Alto University for the past 19 years, overseeing business affairs for the private university of 1100 students focused on psychology and counseling. She has been honored as CFO of the Year for non-profits by both the Silicon Valley Business Journal and the Financial Executives International. A graduate of Cal for her MBA, her Ed.D dissertation was on "Cultural Intelligence of Students in an Undergraduate Multicultural Studies Course."
Ray has been the commissioner of the CHP since March 2020, becoming the Department's first woman in that position in the CHP's 91-year history. Ray began her career in 1990 and has risen the ranks ever since. She served as incident commander for several high-profile events including civil unrest and wildfires. In one of those incidents, she and fellow officers met with protesters and stressed the importance of expanding diversity in the CHP. She was the first woman to be the Team Tactical Commander during Super Bowl 50, down the road from Mission College, at Levi's Stadium. She is a graduate of Cal as well.
Littlejohn leads an international coalition to expose and oppose forced abortion, gendercide, and sexual slavery through her organization, Women's Rights without Frontiers. It is a left-right human rights and humanitarian coalition. An expert on China's One-Child Policy, she has testified before Congress, as well as Parliaments in the United Kingdom, Canada, and Ireland, and briefs members of the State Department, the White House, and the Vatican.
