Dr. Margaret Lamar Elected Future President of the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES)

Palo Alto University faculty member, Dr. Margaret Lamar has been elected as the President Elect-Elect-Elect of the Western Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (WACES).

Voting for the election took place amongst WACES members in December and results were recently announced. Before this election, Dr. Lamar served as the Treasurer of the organization. 

Dr. Lamar is an Assistant Professor in the M.A. Counseling Program at PAU. In addition to her volunteer service in WACES, she is a licensed professional counselor, the Clinical Mental Health program  coordinator and Faculty advisor of PAU’s counseling honors society, Chi Sigma Iota. 

Dr. Lamar is just one of the PAU faculty members who are active in WACES. The organization was founded in 1961 as one of five, regional organizations of the nationally-focused, Association for Counselor Education and Supervision (ACES).  ACES seeks to advance the education, credentialing, and supervision of counselors.

 

Dr. Margaret Lamar has been a part of Palo Alto University’s M.A. Counseling program since 2013.
