Biography:

Jennie is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a certified mediator.  She has worked in private practice and community mental health agencies for the past decade. Jennie’s psychotherapeutic specialties are in treating emotional disorders and working with multicultural families.

Jennie’s key role at PAU will be to provide academic support for international cohort students and ensure the clinical training they receive is culturally relevant and meet CACREP standards.  She understands that international cohort students experience unique challenges in pursuing a counseling degree at PAU from a distance.  Jennie grew up in Thailand and has a passion for developing ethical and culturally appropriate mental health services in cross-cultural context.  Her international experience includes family therapy and working with survivors of human trafficking and victims of natural disasters. 

Prior to entering the counseling profession, Jennie worked in field of urban planning for two decades.  In that role, her primary goal was to achieve urban development that is sustainable.  Similarly, as a psychotherapist, she strive to help people to make sustainable changes in their lives.
