Palo Alto University Hosts Talk with Leading Scholar on Spirituality and Public Health

Scientist and scholar, Dr. Doug Oman, will be a guest speaker at Palo Alto University’s Los Altos campus Thursday, April 5 from 11:45am to 1:00 pm. Dr. Oman is a professor at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health where he leads a training grant in spirituality and public health. He will discuss his research exploring the relationship between psychology, religion and spirituality, and public health and how his work led to his new book, Why Religion and Spirituality Matter for Public Health: Evidence, Implications, and Resources

Dr. Oman is the former president of the American Psychological Association’s Society for the Psychology of Religion and Spirituality (Division 36).  His talk is sponsored by PAU’s Healing Spirituality, and Social Action Group (HSSA).
