Undergraduate Student Testimonials

Successful Palo Alto University Graduates

Palo Alto University graduate Susan Lauer holding her degree in Palo Alto, CA

"I received my BS degree from Palo Alto University in 2012.  My education at PAU opened up the world to me and changed the trajectory of my life immeasurably.  Even as an undergraduate, I was exposed to opportunities  that I never thought were possible.  I was able to work in widely varying fields of psychology, from lab research to working as a trainee in a highly-reputable non-profit agency providing mental health care in the Bay Area.    With this experience, I was able to choose my graduate school training (also at PAU) and continue to develop as a Marriage Family Therapist Intern.  Besides the opportunities that I was given because of PAU’s reputation, I  valued the hyper-focused curriculum, dedicated staff, and guidance through the entire process.  I felt that PAU’s staff was genuinely invested in my success."

"After graduating from Palo Alto University in 2012 with my B.S. in Psychology and Social Action, I was offered a job as a Behavior Specialist at Alum Rock Counseling Center. Alum Rock Counseling Center is a not-for-profit agency focusing on supporting at risk youth and families in the social services field. My education from Palo Alto University along with the mandatory internship fully prepared me for the work I am accomplishing now. My internship was at Gardner Family Care Corporation where I learned both concepts and skills that help me to serve the clients I am working with today."

"I was attending De Anza College and exploring different options for transfer when I learned about PAU's Business Psychology program. When I met with the program director, I was able to get clarification on the classes I still needed to take, learned about how I could apply for this degree, and received support to transfer. This program has afforded me opportunities that have proven to be transformational, and the staff and faculty exceeded my expectations time-and-time again."
