PAU Trustee Awarded 2014 Gardner Award

Palo Alto University (PAU) is extremely proud to announce that Mr. James Otieno, Chairperson of the PAU Board of Trustees, has beenselected to receive the 2014 Gardner Award for his dedication and commitment to Palo Alto University's mission of 'Engaging Minds, Improving Lives'.

Each year, a selected group of dedicated volunteers and community leaders are honored with the John Gardner Award for making a difference in improving our communities. They are awarded by the Los Altos Community Foundation for dedication to public service, education, government, science and technology, and arts and letters.

As the Chair of PAU's Board of Trustees, Mr. Otieno’s vision and leadership have helped the university flourish and grow. As the university has grown, so has its service to the local and global community. PAU would like to sincerely thank James Otieno for everything he does for Palo Alto University as well as the greater Bay Area community. He is an inspiration to us all.

From PAU President, Dr. Allen Calvin, “James is devoting the preponderance of his time to helping others achieve their dreams”.
