PAU Trustee Honored with Glenn George Heart of Philanthropy Award

Palo Alto University (PAU) is very proud that to announce a member of the Board of Trustees, Iris Korol, along with her husband Hal Korol, was honored with the Glenn George Heart of Philanthropy Award this year.

This Award was announced at the Silicon Valley Philanthropy Day held in November 2013.

Iris Korol joined the PAU Board of Trustees in 2013. For 43 years, she and her husband have given back to the community through exceptional leadership and inspiring generosity. Not only do they understand the power of giving, they multiply their own giving by intentionally making connections and engaging other people to join them in supporting many worthy causes. Iris Korol is dedicated and innovative in her approach in community involvement. For example, she hosts an annual luncheon, “Dim Sum and Doin’ Good” and invites 20-30 friends to have Dim Sum, but more importantly, to hear about the work of local nonprofits and ask for their support.

A message from PAU President, Dr. Allen Calvin: “Welcome Iris to PAU’s Board of Trustees! We are so proud to have you on our Board and we look forward to working with you to enhance our efforts in creating a more caring and giving community.”
