Ph.D. Student Joanna Servin selected as Hispanic Scholarship Fund Scholar

We are pleased to announce PAU’s 4th year Ph.D. student, Joanna Servin was recently selected as a Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) Scholar. Joanna is a first-generation college graduate from the University of California, Davis and the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. Joanna wrote proudly in her application letter: “I stand before you, a magnificent product of the dreams, drive, and determination of Mexican field workers whose only prospect toward a fruitful future came from the crops they cut, picked, and followed every season…I am privileged by the decisions, actions, and sacrifices of the women, men, and children I meet daily as a provider of mental health services.”

Join us to congratulate Joanna Servin. “The distinction of HSF Scholar means that you are among the best and brightest Latino students in the country.”
