Ph.D. Student, Lori Holleran appointed to SPSSI Committee

Founded in 1936, The Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues (SPSSI) is a group of scientists from psychology and related fields who share a common interest in research on the psychological aspects of important social and policy issues. SPSSI’s Graduate Student Committee (GSC) is lead by students in six elected positions endeavoring to provide a voice to the students of SPSSI and a forum to uniquely addresscritical social and policy issues. Lori Holleran has been elected to fulfill the position of Member-at-large Policy and Applied Work Focus, which will allow her to support students who are looking for internships, jobs, and training, specifically highlighting opportunities that are interdisciplinary in nature.  Additionally, she will co-ordinate with SPSSI's Policy Committee and serve as the GSC's primary liaison with the Policy Director with the aims of developing opportunities for students to influence relevant policy issues.
