Dr. Brown said, "Several years ago, I had the privilege of serving on the National Biodefense Science Board and working with the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to develop approaches to help our nation prepare for and recover from disasters. I welcome this new opportunity to continue working with ASPR and use my research, clinical, and advocacy experiences to focus on the needs and wants of older adults and their families at all stages of disasters."
