Dr. Julia Corcoran is a licensed clinical psychologist, with a background in business administration and management information systems. 

Julia Corcoran completed her undergraduate work at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned a B.S. in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management Information Systems, and a minor Psychology, in 2004. In Following undergrad, Dr. Corcoran worked in corporate retail for several years, lastly at Gap, Inc. Her focus during this time was on financial analysis and planning, developing user-friendly information systems, training and mentoring colleagues, and project management. 

Dr. Corcoran returned to graduate school in 2010, and earned a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the PGSP-Stanford Psy.D. Consortium in 2015. She has experience in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and periods of transition and change across the lifespan, including new mothers, adolescents and young adults, older adults, and professionals seeking career advancement or change. Dr. Corcoran is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy, among other modalities. Dr. Corcoran completed clinical training at the Palo Alto VA, Stanford Psychiatry and Hospital, San Jose Job Corps, Didi Hirsch Mental Health Services, and El Camino Hospital, which included in-office and field-based community mental health services, intensive outpatient programs, and outpatient clinics. 

Dr. Corcoran currently provides psychotherapy with the Pacific Anxiety Group in Menlo Park, where she sees a broad range of clients. She also provides coaching and program development as a Lead Coach at BetterUp, Inc., a startup delivering career and performance coaching for young professionals looking to advance in their careers through personal and professional growth. 

Dr. Corcoran has specific interests in utilizing both her background in business and her training in psychology in order to improve healthcare delivery systems and create more empowering workplace environments. This work is completed through psychotherapy, coaching, teaching and training, advising and supervising, and program evaluation and development.
