Webinar: Pet Loss, Healing, and the Role of Helping Professionals with Ken Dolan-Del Vecchio, LMFT, LCSW, SPHR

About this Webinar

Many people experience the death of an animal companion as one of life's most significant losses. When they mention their grief to others, however, the responses they receive often fall somewhere between well-meaning but insensitive to outright derisive. This includes comments made by therapists and other helping professionals. Thankfully, a growing body of knowledge can help us respond in ways that consistently support healing.

Join us for a conversation with Ken Dolan-Del Vecchio, family therapist and author of The Pet Loss Companion: Healing Advice from Family Therapists who Lead Pet Loss Groups. He will address the many dimensions of pet loss such as:

  • Normal vs. problematic grief
  • When consulting a therapist makes sense
  • The emotional vortex of euthanasia
  • Healing rituals
  • Strategies for helping parents help their children

Participants will be invited to raise additional issues in a webinar designed to be a lively, informative dialog.
