Margaret Lamar, Ph.D., LPC

As mental health professionals, we have a responsibility to provide quality care to our clients. Too often, helping professionals cannot meet this ethical responsibility because of impairment to their health and wellness. In this webinar, attendees will learn about wellness, signs of impairment, wellness activities, and will be able to develop a self-care plan to sustain a life-long healthy helping career.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Margaret Lamar is a LPC and received her degree in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to that she received her B.F.A. and M.Ed. at the University of North Texas, where she also served as a student affairs professional. Dr. Lamar’s clinical specialty is working with college students and domestic violence victims and perpetrators. Her research interests include research education, student/faculty researcher development, and applications of intersectionality theory in counseling.
