Lecture on Business Problem Solving

This presentation will provide a brief overview of strategic business consulting, and will provide an introduction to the "case study", the standard interviewing format in the field. In this format, interviewees solve a short business problem (e.g. how should client X launch their product, how can client X restore their profitability), while the interviewer acts as the client. The presentation will provide several problem solving frameworks and heuristics in order to help approach these business problems. The talk is designed to have general appeal, helping students to think more critically and creatively about business related problems, even if they don't have a strong inclination towards the consulting field specifically.
