- Biography
Dr. Sandra Trafalis received her Ph.D in Experimental Psychology from DePaul University. Her research interests include the social psychology of social action, social power, the biological foundations of mental illness and interpersonal relationships.
At Palo Alto University, Professor Trafalis teaches in the Bachelor degree program in Psychology & Social Action, where she also coordinates the internship program. She is the Interim Program Director for the new Undergraduate Evening/Online programs.
- Experience
Professor Trafalis has over 10 years experience working in the public mental health system and has worked on various policy committees in an effort to improve care and access to the underserved mentally ill. Professor Trafalis has designed information systems to collect and analyze data on the efficacy, quality, and performance of health care systems and she has designed and evaluated early intervention and health promotion programs. Professor Trafalis has worked as the director of program development and IT for a community mental health agency and for IBM Enterprise Marketing and Sales Division.
