Why PAU?
Palo Alto University and its partner, the De Anza - Foothill Community College District, located in California’s Silicon Valley, have created two innovative Bachelor degree completion program to assist California community college students or those individuals who already have a degree to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in preparation for the start of a new career or for further study in psychology or study in business at the graduate level.
- Students may choose to specialize in either the Business Psychology program or in the Psychology program with a focus on "The Science of Social Action in a Global Community."
- All course work in the Bachelor degree programs are provided by PAU undergraduate and graduate professors who are experts in their fields and who have national and international reputations. Class sizes are small, and students receive a large amount of individual instruction and advising.
- The programs are full-time, and students are assured of completing their coursework in two years to obtain their Bachelor of Science degree
PAU is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), one of six regional institutional-accrediting associations in the U.S. WASC fosters excellence in elementary, secondary, adult, and postsecondary education by encouraging school improvement through a process of continuing evaluation and by recognizing, through accreditation, schools that meet an acceptable level of quality, in accordance with established criteria. PAU’s Bachelor of Science programs: Business Psychology and Psychology and Social Action have also been created with respect to the American Psychological Associations recommendations for undergraduate psychology programs.
