Forensic and Correctional Mental Health Counseling

Cohort Model

Similar to other PGSP programs, students go through the master's degree program as a cohort. The cohort model leads to the formation of strong social bonds among the students and a sense of community within PGSP.

Peer and faculty interactions take place frequently through the use of online discussions along with weekly real-time interactions. . Two of the critical skills-based courses, Clinical Interviewing and Cognitive Assessment, are taught in residence at the main PAU campus. The in-residence courses allow students further opportunities to interact with their peers and professors while developing their clinical skills.
