Palo Alto University offers a master's degree program in counseling which can lead to licensure in many states with no relocation necessary to complete your studies.

Students focus on developing and strengthening skills in four core areas as part of the curriculum: assessment, intervention/psychotherapy, research/critical thinking, and ethics/professional practice.  The M.A. Counseling program offers flexibility, with students choosing to attend full or part-time depending on their schedules.

Emphasis Areas

Launching in Fall 2014, the M.A. in Counseling will offer two emphasis areas:

• Mental Health/Family Counseling

• Cross-Cultural Crisis & Trauma Counseling
