Palo Alto University - Monterey Bay

Palo Alto University (PAU) is reaching out to the Monterey Bay community with special degree opportunities for students who attend Cabrillo , Hartnell and Monterey Peninsula Colleges. Beginning in September 2012, PAU will begin offering Bachelor of Science degrees at the Cabrillo College, Scotts Valley Campus, located at 104 Whispering Pines Drive <link to aerial map> near the intersection of Mount Hermon Rd and Highway 17. It’s an easy commute from all locations in Santa Cruz County as well as most locations in Monterey County.

Degrees offered include the Bachelor degree in Psychology and Social Action and the Bachelor degree in Business Psychology.

Students can choose between two course delivery options

  1. A full-time day program in which students in each program attend classes on Mondays through Thursdays from approximately 10:00AM to 3:00PM at the Scotts Valley Campus. Courses are offered in the Fall, Winter and Spring quarters, with Summer off.

  2. An Evening/Online option. Each quarter, students attend class one evening per week from 6:00pm – 9:40pm on campus. They simultaneously take two other courses in a distance learning format. Courses are offered in the Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer quarters for two years. The Evening/Online programs offer students, who have jobs and family obligations, the opportunity to pursue and complete their Bachelor degree in tow years as well.

In all of the PAU programs, students take their classes together as a cohort over the two years of the program. The class schedule remains the same each quarter, and each student is guaranteed a seat in their classes. There is no fear of full classrooms or cancelled classes. Students receive their Bachelor’s degree within 24 months of the program start.

PAU Monterey Bay students and faculty have access to the student and academic services of Palo Alto University. These include online access to the Omar Seddiqui Research Library and provides convenient access to thousands of books, DVD's, tests, and journals that cover a wide range of topics within the areas of psychology, business and the behavioral sciences.

After graduation from PAU Monterey Bay, students may wish to enter the workforce immediately, take a break from their studies or they may wish to go on to graduate school. At the same Scotts Valley location, students can complete a Masters degree in Counseling with Emphasis in Marital and Family Therapy
