B.S. in Business Psychology

International Students

People are at the core of successful business operations throughout the world. Productivity, ingenuity, cooperation and teamwork all arise from satisfied and motivated employees. Business psychology provides the knowledge and skills that future managers will need around the globe. The US higher educational system is the best in the world for training professionals and business leaders. American business models are some of the most advanced and successful in all markets. And the study of psychology is more advanced in the US than in any country. PGSP’s Business Psychology program combines all these elements to provide a superior educational experience to international students who aspire to successfully managing organizations around the globe.

For international students already studying at one of the California Community Colleges, the PAU Business Psychology program provides a seamless transition to a Bachelor’s degree. International students who have completed their CSU/UC general education requirements and 90 quarter unit hours or 60 semester unit hours may transfer directly into the Business Psychology program, where they will complete their Bachelor of Science degree in only two years. International students transferring to the CSU system in fields such as business and psychology, which are heavily over enrolled, are currently taking 3 to 4 years to complete their Bachelor’s degree. In the Business Psychology program, international students take only courses related to the major and their future professional activities, not elective courses that are irrelevant and simply satisfy credit requirements.

The PAU Business Psychology program is small and personal, providing international students with a welcoming environment, where their professors will know them and take an interest in their backgrounds. Our faculty come from diverse cultures and speak many different languages like Chinese, French, Hindi, Spanish, etc. Those international backgrounds will be appreciated and will enhance class discussions and projects. PAU actively recruits international students in order to create culturally diverse learning cohorts, in which students can learn from one another as well as from their professors. Students in the current undergraduate program come from Serbia, Sweden, Uganda, China, Korea, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
